![]() ![]() The other is as a chance to replace a regular road battle when at a Flame level of 30 or less. One is by interacting with a Shamblers Altar found at the Academic's Study when given the 'Combat' option. TLDR - just roll with it - you'll get it eventually. Description The Shambler is a mini boss that can be encountered a few ways in Darkest Dungeon II. You can game this by shuffling yourself first, so that it unshuffles you. Shamblers Altar So I found this curio called the Shamblers Alter. You'd have much better luck just going torchless from the get-go in terms of finding a Shambler, but not so much from an efficiency standpoint in terms of the standard fights. Shambler has 2 hard-coded bonuses: + It always shuffles your party. Variable of course, and you can't always plan for an altar like you can for some good ole 'finish up and walk back and forward to try your luck', but still. Even in a hallway battle retreating and lighting up will spoke the nightmare away. I'd say I encountered a Shambler altar per every 4-5 dungeons on average in my more recent save - sometimes in quick succession, sometimes after a good few weeks, but I recall seeing plenty. For future reference, dont ever let the light hit 0 or light the shamblers altar if you dont want to fight them. There's not a whole lot to gain from regular farming except more stress or diseases (unless you're being super meta about it), except maybe trinkets or the chance to min-max whatever you have. As far as I'm concerned, by the time the dungeon is done (even if it's a short - unless super lucky with the mission), your pack should be relatively if not completely full. ![]()
